Anna Zimmerman is very grateful to have had the life expanding experience of completing a master’s program in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica and their Soul Centered Leadership class as well. They were foundational academic experiences and continue to lead to many other courses and studies over these many years, including a complete self study of A Course in Miracles.
Anna and her husband Doug Rye were honored to work directly with prominent energy medicine practitioner, teacher and author Donna Eden and her husband energy psychology leader Dr. David Feinstein as they put together their book and course The Energies of Love for relationships.
Anna is one of the founders of Tranquilo, which includes Not Church, in La Mision, Baja, Mexico, and she's thrilled to have a life in loving service to the spiritual exploration and expansion of this extraordinary community and beyond.
Nadine came to La Misión in 2009 on a second date. Ten days later she moved to Baja permanently…in love with her new boyfriend and with this beautiful place that had only begun to reveal its magic. She and Ron were married a year later overlooking her beloved estuary in a joyful ceremony customized and officiated by their favorite Presbyterian minister, Erin Dunigan.
The relationship, the tranquil space and welcoming community have proved transformational! A lifelong militant atheist…mindfulness and seven years of committed study have begun to soften and open her heart and mind. This wonderful community has nurtured and allowed her to blossom into a mindfulness journey home. She is grateful and pleased to share it with a supportive sangha, kalyana-mitras, and the greater Not Church community through the Happiness Study Group and half-day meditation “retreats.”
Nadine continues to work at her most recent career in graphics and web design, having been a medical administrator, a music business executive, an art museum docent, an archivist and estate manager for Hollywood elites, a photographer and painter. If you can’t find her, just look out your window and you’ll likely spot her snapping photos of the 250 or so species of birds that inhabit or visit our magnificent estuary.
